Full Instructions

  1. Cook Rice: Start by cooking 1 cup of rice according to the package instructions. Once cooked, set it aside to cool slightly.
  2. Prepare Tofu: While the rice is cooking, take a block of firm tofu and press it to remove excess water. Cut the tofu into cubes. In a skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat and cook the tofu cubes until they are golden brown on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  3. Prepare Vegetables: Slice 1 avocado, shred 1 carrot, and shred 1 cup of lettuce.
  4. Make Miso Dressing: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of white miso paste with 2-3 tablespoons of water until it forms a smooth dressing. Adjust the consistency with more water if needed.
  5. Assemble the Bowl: In serving bowls, place a portion of cooked rice at the bottom. Arrange the cooked tofu, sliced avocado, shredded carrot, and shredded lettuce on top of the rice.
  6. Drizzle with Dressing: Drizzle the white miso dressing over the assembled bowl.
