Full Instructions

  1. Caramelize Onions and Sauté Garlic: In a large pot, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Sauté Tomatoes: Add chopped tomatoes to the pot and cook until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add Miso, Black Bean Paste, and Oyster Sauce: Stir in 2 tablespoons of miso paste, 1 tablespoon of black bean paste, and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. Add Soy Sauce and Maple Syrup: Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Stir to combine.
  5. Add Lemon Juice: Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the pot and stir well.
