Caramelize Onions and Sauté Garlic
: In a large pot, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Sauté Tomatoes
: Add chopped tomatoes to the pot and cook until they are soft and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
Add Miso, Black Bean Paste, and Oyster Sauce
: Stir in 2 tablespoons of miso paste, 1 tablespoon of black bean paste, and 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
Add Soy Sauce and Maple Syrup
: Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Stir to combine.
Add Lemon Juice
: Squeeze the juice of one lemon into the pot and stir well.
Simmer
