Ingredients:
2 tbsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
1 tbsp doenjang (fermented soybean paste – make sure it's vegan)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp maple syrup or agave
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Optional: 1 tbsp finely chopped scallions
Instructions:
In a small bowl, combine gochujang, doenjang, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and maple syrup.
Stir in the minced garlic and mix until smooth and well incorporated.
Sprinkle in the sesame seeds and chopped scallions if using.
Let the sauce sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Pro Tip:
For a milder version, add a teaspoon of water or a dollop of plain vegan yogurt to mellow the heat.
This punchy sauce keeps well in the fridge for up to 5 days—perfect for leftovers or dipping fresh veggies!
